Dolcetto d'Alba 2017
Variety:
Red
|
Dolcetto
Winery: Elio Altare
Region:
Piedmont,
Italy
Vinous 89 - The 2017 Dolcetto d'Alba
is ample, creamy and expressive, which is to say very much in the style of the year. Juicy red cherry, plum, violet, rose petal and spice all flesh out in a radiant, succulent Dolcetto that will drink well now and for another decade or more. What a gorgeous wine it is.
Wine Spectator 89 - This is juicy and supple, despite the firm structure, allowing the cherry, blackberry, earth and chocolate notes to shine. Assertive tannins line the finish.
